Beautiful and historic building. Kyle was very friendly and welcoming. The food was great and Jay went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. The pool table provided lots of fun. The room was not that spacious with 2 queen beds and storage was non existent. There was 2 small tables and I wobbly chair. The bathroom was beautiful. A mini fridge and some hooks and shelves would be wonderful in this space.

This review is for the Ghost Kitchen at the Bala Bay Inn. The food was absolutely amazing. We had what would usually be pretty mundane (but tasty) items, wings and a club sandwich. But! Because they smoke their meat, everything was absolutely outstanding. I'm still thinking about the wings days after. The smokiness and flavour. My new favourite wing of all time, and I eat a lot of wings. Similarly, the club sandwich also has that extra umph because of the smoked chicken on it. I must return not only for more wings, but also to try other meats they made in the smoker. Kudos to the chef. Lastly, shout-out to the bar staff who made near perfect gin dirty martinis and the shuttle driver who took us back the Beer Spa. Can't wait to come back next year!

We arrived before 3:00 check in but Kyle was able to get us into our room early. We were provided a shuttle and complimentary admission to the Muskoka Beer Spa which was a great experience on a beautiful October day. Kyle set up a Blue Jays viewing party for the hotel guests to watch the Jays beat the Yankees in game one. Top notch service and consideration from staff.

We booked a few nights here to catch a couple of shows at the KEE but I knew nothing about this hotel. I'll get the only real "negative" out of the way and that's the rooms don't have air conditioning, but they do have fans, the hallways have AC and it's always ice cold. It really didn't bother me because I just needed a place to sleep after the shows. The hotel itself is pretty cool and charming considering it's like 4 billion years old. There's actually a lot of cool history about the hotel if you're in that and want to learn about it. I loved everything about my stay. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Hanging out downstairs after each show and meeting new people was a blast. The people who cook at the Inn and the Brewery at the Beer Spa not only cook really good food - they're super kind and fun to chat with. My only recommendation is this place should be advertising and shouting from the mountain tops about the connection with the Beer Spa. I had no idea what the hell a beer spa even was - then I was told we had shuttles to it and I assumed just the shuttle was complimentary but it turns out you can get a free shuttle and free access into the beer spa every day from check in to check out. More people need to know about it because the Beer Spa is probably my new favourite place. Safe to say I'm built for craft beer and hot tubs. Can't wait to go back - I loved every second of it and can't wait to make this an annual trip, but next time I'm bringing more people.

It was a typical, quaint inn. The long history adds appeal, food great, atmosphere friendly. Excellent staff, Kyle at the desk, very helpful and always ready to answer questions with a smile. Jayden in the bar was super nice and accommodating, much appreciated. Michael the shuttle driver was shy but very kind and polite. The experience was really great, nice weekend of much needed rejuvenation

Spent a weekend with my friend in one of their rooms and we had a blast! It was just the perfect size for all of our needs and it had great shows on TV! The staff and other residents were so lovely and welcoming. We’ll definitely be making this a staple for future Girls Trips! Thank you Bala Bay Inn!

We stayed at this charming little hotel which is just a hop skip and a jump from The Kee to Bala and it was such a great experience. Since there aren’t many accommodations in the area, we felt lucky to have gotten a room here. The owner and his girlfriend were amazing. The staff—Stephanie, Alberto, and Brandon (there were more, but I didn’t get all their names)—were incredibly helpful and friendly, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our visit enjoyable. The bar was another highlight, with great food and drinks. The hotel offered free access to the Muskoka Beer Spa with transportation to the spa and back. Which was an awesome bonus we enjoyed. Our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. There was an air conditioner in the room, we could set how we pleased. I will happily stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area who wants a friendly, accommodating experience.

We went to the Muskoka spa for the day then stayed overnight at the Bala Bay Inn was newly renovated but still needed further renovations. It definitely has potential and could be a beautiful location. The views out the window were lake view across the street. We walked into the town of Bala for a coffee in the morning and it was lovely.
